"I'm Out there and I'm Lovin' it!"

OK so the first post title was somewhat biblical in nature (I certainly hope that lightning doesn't strike) and that wasn't really intended...

Cool I'm out there blogging!

Crap! Now what do I write!

I suddenly realized why I didn't like writing! Why am I using so many !!'s.

I certainly hated my penmanship or, now my typing skills, but the other reason was that jeez, it takes time to coherently collect, sort, and write thoughts... Much easier to talk than it is to write... Maybe my next effort will be "Blogs on tape" Actually I do realize that web casts and Pod casts do exist... I'm just saying...

I would love to write like my favorites listed below (you really have to check these sites out):

No I get nothing for posting those...

What I certainly don't want is for this site to be a trainwreck like the following:

So we take off on our run on Saturday morning... Of course we try to meet and ultimately leave by 7:00 AM... It never really happens on time... So we take off, and one of the guys (for the sake of the story we will refer to him as Matt), arrived late... Actually he was on-time... Matt-time.. Which is about ten minutes later than he thinks it is... Did I mention that I run with some pretty fast runners? Well actually I start with some pretty fast runners; I usually finish well behind them and struggling...

Matt is forced to make up approximately a 600 meter gap to catch back up to the group (which of course he does with relative ease)... The lead group settles into a brisk (read fast) pace. The lead group now consists of (all names are made up) Jimmy, Tad (what a dumb name huh?), Matt (already mentioned), and Dan (yeah I know, another dumb name)...

At this point in the story I must provide hearsay (which is not admissible in court) because I was well off the back wondering if I should stop for breakfast...

So someone mentions that tempo pace was in order. Matt indicates that "I will follow whatever..." Tad and Dan ran for some crappy Div 3 school, which in fairness makes them pretty good runners, but again, not The Ohio State University, so I don't think that they had to "make the team" or anything... In fact I believe their school gave out "you're all winners" medals or something...

Jimmy recognizes that the horses are leaving the stable and proceeds to stop and lay down on the bike path waiting for the second group to arrive... The path is too dirty/muddy for my liking but it was an effective statement... Good Times! I'm just saying...

They ended up doing 12 miles all told but man that was funny!

Don't forget to thank the volunteers.

Rico
